DeAndrea Salvador is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the 39th district since 2021. Elected at age 30, she is the youngest Black woman to serve in the North Carolina General Assembly. Before her political career, she founded the Renewable Energy Transition Initiative (RETI), a nonprofit focused on energy affordability and conservation. Her legislative work includes bipartisan efforts on energy policy, carbon neutrality, and public health research.
