Nasif Majeed is an American politician currently serving as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 99th district. A decorated United States Air Force veteran who flew combat missions during the Vietnam War, he later worked as a commercial pilot and held various community leadership roles in Charlotte. Majeed previously served on the Charlotte City Council and as a clinical chaplain. In 2025, he drew significant public attention for being the only Democrat to vote with Republicans to override a gubernatorial veto on legislation concerning school policies and gender-related issues, subsequently disaffiliating from the Democratic Party in 2026.
