Debby Burssens is a Belgian politician and activist representing the Marxist Workers' Party of Belgium (PVDA). Born in Antwerp in 1982, she holds degrees in political science and journalism. Before her election to the Flemish Parliament in 2024, she worked as a freelance journalist, project manager, and communications coordinator, and founded a local PVDA action center in Sint-Niklaas. Burssens is a vocal advocate for social justice, climate action, and anti-racism. In addition to her parliamentary duties, she serves as a community senator.
