Debra Toporowski

Debra Toporowski is a Canadian politician serving as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for the Cowichan Valley electoral district since 2024. She also serves as the Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Health. Prior to her provincial election, she had a long career in local government, serving as a councillor for the Cowichan Tribes and the municipality of North Cowichan. Her political platform focuses on affordable housing, healthcare access, environmental protection, and social services for vulnerable populations. She is of First Nations and Chinese descent and has been a long-time advocate for Indigenous watersheds and community safety.
