Declan McAleer

Declan McAleer is a Northern Irish politician representing the Sinn Féin party. He has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the West Tyrone constituency since June 2012, when he was selected to replace his party colleague Pat Doherty. Prior to his tenure in the Northern Ireland Assembly, McAleer gained experience in local government, having served on a local council. His political career has been defined by his commitment to the policies of Sinn Féin, including the party's stance against double jobbing in parliamentary roles.
