Denis Mathen

Denis Mathen is a Belgian politician and the current Governor of the Province of Namur, a position he has held since January 2007. A member of the Reformist Movement (MR), he previously served as a municipal councilor in Namur, a provincial councilor, an alderman for Finance, Personnel, and IT, and as a member of the Walloon Parliament and the Parliament of the French Community. Educated in law, he worked as a legal attaché for the Walloon public service before his political career. In 2017, he was awarded the Legion of Honour for his contributions to public service.
