Denis Tunnicliffe, Baron Tunnicliffe

Denis Tunnicliffe, Baron Tunnicliffe, is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2004. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the aviation and transport sectors, serving as a pilot for BOAC and British Airways, and later as managing director and chairman of London Underground. Within the House of Lords, he has held various leadership roles, including government whip and Opposition Deputy Chief Whip. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1993 for his professional contributions.
