Markus Campbell-Savours is a British Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Penrith and Solway since 2024. The son of Lord Campbell-Savours, he is the first British MP of Icelandic descent. Before entering national politics, he served on the Keswick Town Council and Allerdale Borough Council. Campbell-Savours has been a vocal advocate for the agricultural sector in his constituency, notably rebelling against government inheritance tax plans in 2025, which led to a temporary suspension of his party whip. He is an alumnus of Birkbeck, University of London, and previously worked as an electrician and electrical contracts manager.
