Alex Ballinger

Alex Ballinger is a British Labour politician and former Royal Marine who serves as the Member of Parliament for Halesowen. Educated at the University of Manchester with a degree in aerospace engineering, he served in the Royal Marines including deployments to Afghanistan and later worked in international humanitarian operations for the Department for International Development and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Before entering Parliament in 2024, he led a mental health charity in Birmingham and the Black Country. In Westminster, he has been active on defence, foreign affairs, and local constituency issues such as road safety and town regeneration.
