Dennis Hood

Dennis Garry Edward Hood is an Australian politician who has served as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council since 2006. Educated at the University of Adelaide, he previously worked as a financial executive in the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout his parliamentary career, Hood has represented the Family First Party, the Australian Conservatives, and the Liberal Party. He has held various shadow ministerial portfolios, including Veterans Affairs, Tourism, and Recreation, Sport and Racing. Known for his conservative social and economic views, he has been a vocal advocate for traditional family values, stricter criminal sentencing, and palliative care over voluntary euthanasia.
