Denys Shmyhal is a Ukrainian politician and engineer who currently serves as the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine, having assumed the role in January 2026. Previously, he served as the Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2020 to 2025, marking the longest tenure in the country's history, and briefly as the Minister of Defence. Before his national political career, he held various executive positions in the private sector and served as the Governor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
