Derell Wilson

Derell Wilson is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 46th district. Born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut, he attended Norwich Free Academy and studied biochemistry at American International College. Before his election to the state legislature in November 2022, Wilson served on the Norwich City Council from 2019 to 2022 and worked as a paraprofessional educator at the Integrated Day Charter School. Upon assuming office in January 2023, he became the first Black person to represent Norwich in the Connecticut House of Representatives.
