Representing the 65th district since 2017, he is a member of the Sandia Pueblo and has focused his legislative career on issues impacting Native American communities. Before entering politics, Lente was a successful entrepreneur who owned and operated one of the largest solely-owned Native American corporations in the United States. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
