Dewey McClain is an American politician and former professional football player serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 109th district. Before entering politics, he played as a linebacker in the National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons and later in the United States Football League. Following his athletic career, he worked for the city of Atlanta and served as a prominent labor leader, including as president of the Atlanta North Georgia Labor Council. He was first elected to the Georgia House in a 2013 special election and continues to serve in the legislature.
