Diljeet Brar is a Canadian politician serving as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the electoral district of Burrows. Born in Bhangchari, Punjab, India, he moved to Canada in 2010 after a career as a university professor. Before his election in 2019, he worked for the provincial government of Manitoba and led Bulla Arts International. Brar is noted for introducing the Turban Day Act and, in 2023, became the first turbaned person to serve as the Speaker of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly.
