Dimitris Tzanakopoulos

Dimitris Tzanakopoulos is a Greek politician and lawyer who currently serves as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for Athens A. Born in Athens in 1982, he holds a law degree and a master's in Philosophy of Law from the Athens Law School. He previously served as Minister of State and Government Spokesperson in the cabinet of Alexis Tsipras from 2016 to 2019. Formerly a prominent member of SYRIZA, he joined the New Left parliamentary group in 2023 before departing in 2026 to serve as an independent member.
