Liana Kanelli

Liana Kanelli is a Greek journalist and politician who has served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Communist Party of Greece since 2000. A law graduate of the University of Athens, she built a prominent career as a television presenter, news anchor, and columnist before entering politics. Known for her outspoken and polemicist style, she is a vocal critic of the European Union and the adoption of the Euro. Throughout her tenure, she has remained active in journalism, serving as the editor of the communist newspaper Rizospastis and participating in various international humanitarian and peace-building efforts.
