Thanasis Pafilis

Athanasios Pafilis is a Greek politician and a prominent member of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). Born in 1954 in Pitsio, he has served as a long-standing member of the Hellenic Parliament and previously represented Greece as a Member of the European Parliament. A law graduate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Pafilis has been active in left-wing politics since his youth, including involvement with the Communist Youth of Greece. He currently serves as the General Secretary of the World Peace Council and remains a key figure within the KKE Central Committee.
