Dirk Heijkoop

Dirk Heijkoop is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Hardinxveld-Giessendam since November 2016. Before his current role, he held various positions in local government, including serving as a municipal councilor and later as an alderman in the former municipalities of Graafstroom and Molenwaard. His political career has focused on areas such as spatial planning, housing, finance, and sustainability. Prior to his political career, he worked in the healthcare sector, specifically in facility management and technology at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital.
