Dirk Wedel

Dirk Wedel is a German politician and lawyer who serves as a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia. A member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) since 1993, he previously represented the party in the Mettmann district council and served as a state secretary in the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2017 to 2022. Before his full-time political career, Wedel worked as a judge at the Düsseldorf Regional Court and as a legal advisor within the state justice ministry, where he focused on information technology in the judicial system.
