Dirk Wiese

Dirk Wiese is a German politician and member of the Bundestag representing the Hochsauerlandkreis district since 2013. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he has held several significant parliamentary and government roles, including serving as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy from 2017 to 2018. He also served as the German government's Coordinator for Inter-Societal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Eastern Partnership Countries. Since 2025, Wiese has served as the chief whip for the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
