Akihiro Dobashi is a Japanese politician, screenwriter, and novelist currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for Team Mirai. Born in Toyonaka, Osaka, he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Kansai University and initially worked as an engineer at Hitachi. He later transitioned into a successful career as a writer, gaining national recognition for his work on the film 'Samurai Hustle,' which won the Best Screenplay award at the 38th Japan Academy Film Prize. In 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives through the proportional representation block. He is currently assigned to the Committee on National Basic Policies.
