Kazuko Muto is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Northern Kanto proportional representation block. Born in 1981 in Ibaraki Prefecture, she spent 18 years working in the IT sector as a server engineer and project manager before transitioning into non-profit work focused on child-rearing and single-mother support. Muto entered politics as a secretary for Takahiro Anno and later ran for the House of Councillors in 2025. Upon her election to the House of Representatives in 2026, she has focused on administrative reform, advocating for 'push-type' government services, the integration of digital transformation (DX) in local municipalities, and the implementation of automated driving technologies. She also serves as the head of the Organization Activity Headquarters for her party, Team Mirai.
