山田瑛理

Eri Yamada is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Minami-Kanto proportional representation block for the Team Mirai party. Born in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, she graduated from Sophia University and previously worked at Sony Music Entertainment in music, entertainment, and education sectors. Yamada began her political career as a member of the Kawasaki City Council, where she served two terms and notably supported the city's landmark anti-hate speech ordinance. In 2025, she ran for mayor of Kawasaki as an independent candidate before successfully winning a seat in the 2026 general election. She is known for balancing her legislative duties with raising two children.
