Dominik Geißler

Dominik Geißler is a German politician and the current Lord Mayor of Landau in der Pfalz, a position he has held since January 1, 2023. Before entering local politics, he worked as a journalist and held various high-level advisory and communications roles within the German federal government, including positions in the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Chancellery. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he focuses his mayoral administration on promoting civic participation, cultural development, climate protection, and the strengthening of the local economy and city center. He is the son of the late prominent CDU politician Heiner Geißler.
