Don Harmon

Don Harmon is an American politician and attorney serving as the President of the Illinois Senate since 2020. A member of the Democratic Party, he has represented the 39th Senate District since 2003. Throughout his legislative career, Harmon has focused on issues such as gun control, education policy, and government efficiency, notably sponsoring the Illinois Civil Rights Act of 2003 and legislation to legalize sports betting. Before his election to the Senate, he served on the Illinois House legal staff and practiced law at the firm Burke, Burns & Pinelli.
