Doreen Assaad

Doreen Assaad is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Brossard, Quebec, a position she has held since 2017. Before her election as mayor, she served as a city councillor from 2009 to 2017. Assaad, who holds a degree in applied mathematics and computer science from the Université de Montréal, previously worked as a business process optimization specialist for organizations including Desjardins Group and Bombardier Aviation. She founded the political party Brossard Ensemble in 2016 and has been re-elected as mayor with significant majorities, focusing on municipal governance and regional development through her roles in the Montreal Metropolitan Community and the Union des Municipalités du Québec.
