Rebecca Chartrand is a Canadian politician and member of the Liberal Party who has served as the Member of Parliament for Churchill—Keewatinook Aski since 2025. In May 2025, she was appointed to the federal cabinet as the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. An Anishinaabe educator and advocate, Chartrand previously held leadership roles at Seven Oaks School Division, Red River College Polytechnic, and the national charity Indspire. Her career has focused on Indigenous education, reconciliation, and policy development, complemented by her work as an award-winning musician and cultural advocate.
