Dorothea Marx is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). She currently serves as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia, having assumed office again in March 2025. Previously, she served in the German Bundestag from 1990 to 1998 and held a seat in the Thuringian state parliament from 2009 to 2024, during which time she served as Vice President of the Landtag and chaired the NSU investigation committees. A lawyer by profession, she has been active in local and state politics for decades.
