Dorothy Fink is an American endocrinologist and government official currently serving as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health since November 2025. Previously, she served as the acting Assistant Secretary for Health and briefly as the acting United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in early 2025. A graduate of Georgetown University and its School of Medicine, Fink completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a fellowship at Columbia University. Her career includes clinical practice at the Hospital for Special Surgery and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, as well as leadership roles in the Office on Women's Health. During her tenure in the Trump administration, she has focused on health policy, including initiatives related to women's health, vaccine uptake, and federal research funding management.
