Dorothy McCabe

Dorothy McCabe is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Waterloo, Ontario, a position she has held since 2022. Prior to her election as mayor, she built an extensive career in public administration and governance, having worked as a chief of staff to the mayor of Kitchener and in the offices of provincial Liberal MPPs. She also held a senior executive role at KidsAbility and served as a professor at Conestoga College. McCabe holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and History from Wilfrid Laurier University and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Western Ontario. Her political platform has focused on sustainable urban development, affordable housing, and fostering collective action through diverse community engagement.
