Doug McCallum

Doug McCallum is a Canadian politician who served as the mayor of Surrey, British Columbia, for two separate periods, from 1996 to 2005 and again from 2018 to 2022. First elected to the Surrey City Council in 1993, he became known for his pro-business stance and advocacy for municipal fiscal responsibility. During his final term, he championed the expansion of the SkyTrain network and the establishment of a municipal police force. McCallum was defeated in the 2022 mayoral election and subsequently retired from the office.
