Durai Chandrasekaran is an Indian politician serving as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. A prominent member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), he has been elected to the assembly four times, representing the Tiruvaiyaru constituency in the 1989, 1996, 2006, and 2016 elections. He is widely recognized for his 1989 victory over the noted Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the Thanjavur Central DMK District secretary.
