Earl Harris Jr. is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives for the 2nd district, a position he has held since November 2016. A native of East Chicago, Indiana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Master of Arts in telecommunications and digital storytelling from Ball State University. Before his legislative career, Harris worked as a programming producer for Fox Sports Midwest and PBS, and served as president of the Educational Television Cooperative. He also founded Motivation Media, a company specializing in marketing and communication materials. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the assistant Democratic floor leader and vice chair of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus.
