Ed Setzler

Ed Setzler is an American politician serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate since 2023. A member of the Republican Party, he previously represented the 35th district in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2023. A retired U.S. Army Ranger and former engineer, Setzler is known for his conservative legislative record, including his role as the lead sponsor of Georgia's 2019 six-week abortion ban. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as tax reform, science and technology policy, and restrictions on embryonic stem cell research.
