Edward Lister, Baron Udny-Lister

Edward Lister, Baron Udny-Lister is a British politician and political strategist who serves as a member of the House of Lords. A long-time figure in local government, he served as the Leader of Wandsworth Council from 1992 to 2011, where he gained a reputation for Thatcherite policies, including cost-cutting and privatization. He later served as Deputy Mayor of London for Policy and Planning under Boris Johnson and held senior roles in the UK government, including Downing Street Chief of Staff. He was created a life peer in 2020.
