Edwin Baptie

Edwin Victor Baptie is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2024. Prior to his national role, he served as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2022 to 2024. His political career began in local government, where he was a ward councillor for ward 10 in the uMdoni Local Municipality and served as the leader of the Democratic Alliance caucus. He is currently a member of the Portfolio Committee on Electricity and Energy.
