Eelco Eerenberg

Eelco Eerenberg is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the State Secretary for Tax Affairs at the Ministry of Finance in the Jetten cabinet since February 2026. Prior to his national appointment, he held significant local government roles, including serving as an alderman in both Enschede and Utrecht, where he focused on portfolios such as finance, education, public health, and spatial development. A computer science graduate from the University of Twente, Eerenberg previously worked as a strategy consultant and entrepreneur. He has been recognized twice by Binnenlands Bestuur as the Best Young Local Government Member for his transparent communication and collaborative approach to governance.
