Egbert Lichtenberg

Egbert Lichtenberg is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Altena since December 9, 2019. Before his appointment as mayor, he held various roles in local government and public administration, including serving as a member of the municipal council of Papendrecht and as a faction leader for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). His professional background includes extensive experience in regional management and social employment, having worked as a director for the WAVA and MidZuid organizations. Lichtenberg holds a degree in public administration from the University of Twente and a Master of Change Management from Sioo.
