Eiko Smid

Eiko Smid is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Sint-Michielsgestel since May 7, 2024. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), Smid previously held a seat on the Utrecht municipal council from 2006 to 2014, serving as faction leader for five years. His extensive professional background includes roles as a policy researcher, public affairs manager for the pension fund ABP, and cabinet chief for the King's Commissioner in the province of Overijssel. He holds a degree in public administration from Leiden University.
