Eleanor Sato is an American politician serving as a member of the Maine House of Representatives since December 2024. Representing the 109th district, which includes parts of Gorham, she holds the distinction of being the first Japanese American to serve in the Maine State Legislature. Prior to her election, Sato worked as a legislative aide, a professional dancer, and a bartender. In her legislative capacity, she has focused on educational policy, specifically advocating for the inclusion of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander history within the state's public school curriculum.
