Lindsay Powell is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 21st district. A Brooklyn native, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Wheaton College and a Master of Science in public policy management from Carnegie Mellon University. Before her election to the state legislature in a 2023 special election, Powell worked as an Assistant Chief of Staff for the City of Pittsburgh and held positions in the offices of Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Hakeem Jeffries. She also spent time teaching English in rural Malaysia as a Fulbright Scholar.
