Éliane Tillieux is a Belgian politician affiliated with the Socialist Party, serving as a member of the Walloon Parliament and the Parliament of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, as well as a municipal councillor in Namur. Born in Namur in 1966, she earned degrees in translation and public management before pursuing a career in the financial and utility sectors. Throughout her political career, she has held significant ministerial positions in the Walloon Government, including Minister for Social Action, Health, and Equal Opportunities, and Minister of Employment and Training. From 2020 to 2024, she made history as the first female president of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives.
