Elisabeth Svantesson

Elisabeth Svantesson is a Swedish politician who has served as the Minister for Finance since 2022 in the cabinet of Ulf Kristersson. A member of the Moderate Party, she has been a representative in the Swedish Riksdag for Örebro County since 2006. Previously, she served as the Minister for Employment from 2013 to 2014 and has held various leadership roles within her party, including first deputy leader since 2019. Before entering politics, she worked as a university teacher and doctoral student in economics.
