Elizabeth Lockman

Elizabeth Lockman is an American politician serving as a member of the Delaware Senate representing District 3. Raised in Wilmington, she holds a B.A. from New York University and an M.A. from the University of Delaware, where she also serves as an adjunct professor. Before her election to the Senate in 2018, she was active in education policy, notably serving as vice chair of the Wilmington Education Improvement Commission. As a legislator, she has focused on issues including education reform and public safety, successfully introducing legislation in 2024 to require permits for handgun purchases in Delaware. She currently serves as the Senate Majority Whip.
