Elle Cochran

Elle Cochran is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing the 14th district. Previously, she served as a Maui County councilmember for eight years from 2011 to 2018 and ran for Mayor of Maui County in 2018. Originally elected as a Democrat, she switched her party affiliation to the Republican Party in March 2026, citing a desire for stronger advocacy following the Maui wildfires. Cochran is also known as the founder of the Save Honolua Coalition and holds a certification as a court mediator.
