Elly Blanksma-van den Heuvel

Elly Blanksma-van den Heuvel is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the acting mayor of Someren since March 2025. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), she previously served as the mayor of Helmond from 2012 to 2024 and as a member of the Dutch House of Representatives between 2006 and 2012, where she focused on finance and economic policy. Before her parliamentary career, she worked in management at Rabobank and served in the States-Provincial of North Brabant. She was appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2012.
