Elza Pais

Elza Pais is a Portuguese politician and sociologist born in Mangualde on November 22, 1958. A member of the Socialist Party, she has served as a Deputy in the Assembly of the Republic across multiple legislatures representing districts such as Viseu, Coimbra, and Leiria. In addition to her parliamentary duties, she served as the Secretary of State for Equality in the 18th Constitutional Government and has worked extensively as an academic and researcher specializing in sociology, gender equality, and human rights.
