Dame Emily Thornberry

Dame Emily Thornberry is a British politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Islington South and Finsbury since 2005. A member of the Labour Party, she has held several senior front-bench positions, including Shadow Attorney General, Shadow Foreign Secretary, and Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade. Before entering Parliament, she worked as a human rights lawyer for two decades. In 2025, she was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her political and public service.
