Erica Harriss

Erica Harriss is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Illinois Senate for the 56th District, representing parts of Madison and St. Clair counties. First elected to the state senate in 2022 after defeating incumbent Democrat Kris Tharp, she focuses on legislative work through her roles on several committees, including the Special Committee on Pensions and the Committee on Higher Education. She serves as the Minority Spokesperson for the Local Government committee and continues to be active in state-level policy development.
